Tim Royston-Webb - CEO, Pivotal iQ

Tim Royston-Webb (CEO)

Tim has helped guide several business intelligence organizations with senior leadership roles within Gideon Gartner’s GIGA and Forrester Research Group. He has also globally led the technology businesses of Computerwire, Butler, Datamonitor Ovum and latterly Kable Research. Bringing a comprehensive and independent point of view, Tim is passionate about helping providers and enterprises to benefit from Pivotal iQ’s unique insights to drive further value into their businesses. A big data thinker with an analytical mindset, his focus currently is on redefining sourcing intelligence and establishing Pivotal iQ® as the global thought leader in sourcing. Tim is a founder member of the Data Science Foundation and earned his MBA in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cumbria.

Mark Pope (Chief Technology Officer)

As an accomplished technology leader with deep expertise in all areas of data aggregation, management and analytics, Mark has led specialist business intelligence IT teams in several global organizations, managing software development teams, designing functionality and architecture of content production systems, developing online solutions including subscription and eCommerce platforms and budget management of all development and technology costs associated with eBusiness. His experience includes senior IT leadership roles in Datamonitor, Informa, and GlobalData. Mark has earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.

Scott Smyth (Chief Commercial Officer)

Scott joined the business in June 2017 and brings with him over 10 years of experience in a range of commercial leadership roles. He has worked closely with a wide range of market leading ICT providers helping them shorten sales cycles and increase win rates. Scott previously led teams at Datamonitor and Ovum before taking the commercial lead at GlobalData (formerly Kable Research). He is passionate about providing deep insights to ICT providers via high-quality research, and is dedicated to ensuring Pivotal iQ® intelligence becomes the gold standard in the provider marketplace. Scott holds a degree in Management and Economics from Nottingham University Business School and is a founder member of the Data Science Foundation.

Manish Patel
(Chief Marketing and Communications Officer)

Manish has provided director-level digital marketing and communications consultancy services for many leading high profile brands including GlaxoSmithKline, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sky Television, Camelot, British Telecom, Canon, Procter & Gamble and Ernst & Young. He has also directed communications briefs for public bodies such as Network Rail, NHS and Royal Mail. Manish is a firm believer that measurable value and marketing momentum is achieved by establishing proper messaging and creating high-quality assets. He is charged with owning and simplifying all client interfaces to speed value extraction from Pivotal iQ’s online solutions and reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading business intelligence organisations. A former senior news editor at Sunrise Radio, Manish is the first person in the UK to be awarded an MBA in Media Leadership from the University of Cumbria. He is also a member of the CMO Council and founder member of the Data Science Foundation.

Andrew Burgess (Head of Consulting)

Andrew Burgess has been the lead architect within several major change projects, including strategic development, IT transformation and outsourcing, in a wide range of industries across four continents. He has developed and implemented sourcing strategies for global organisations, running sourcing programs and helping re-organise IT departments to maximise their value from sourcing. Andrew was recently awarded ‘Automation Champion of the Year’ by the GSA, the industry association and professional body for the global sourcing industry. He is widely considered to be a leading expert in the growing Legal Transformation and Outsourcing market and has written ‘The Rise of Legal Services Outsourcing’ in collaboration with the London School of Economics (LSE), and ‘The Executive Guide to Artificial Intelligence’ published by Palgrave Macmillan. Andrew is a council member of the Global Sourcing Association.

Oliver Guirdham (Research Director – UK)

Oliver is an expert in business research and consulting. He has 15 years of experience in uncovering key information about competitors, suppliers, customers, regulators, and investment targets for clients and interpreting what it means for them. Previously he was Managing Director of GlobalData, the leading market intelligence company. He is also the lead representative of the Institute for Competitive Intelligence in India. Oliver attended Oxford University and is an alumnus of the London Business School with an MA in International Management from London University.

Habeebuddin Mohammed (Research Director – India)

Prior to heading up Pivotal iQ’s India-based research operations, Habeebuddin managed IT services contracts analytics, banking software contracts analytics, and telco OSS/BSS contracts analytics tools at Ovum. He manages the in-house analysts at Pivotal iQ®, supported by over 40 additional researchers and also mentors several junior team members. Habeebuddin’s expertise lies in connecting the dots with contracts activity and other business occurring in the IT domain. These efforts, conducted in partnership with Pivotal iQ’s management team, brilliant team of analysts and support staff, have resulted in sourcing solutions that use predictive analytics to help clients stay on top of their competitors and partners while driving down costs. Habeebuddin has earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University and holds an MBA from Osmania University.
